Two Trinidad-born Canadian women were recently recognized for their work in raising the profile of the Black community at Ryerson University and beyond.

The St Mary Ward Catholic School presented a cheque for $5000 to Consul General Dr Eric Pierre of Haiti for that country's relief fund.

Gerald Oliver, 76, left, is presented with a gift of two tenor pans by Fr. Edwin Gonsalves at St Barnabas Church for his dedication at playing pan at the church for 38 years.
