Members of the community can now access a full range of language skills, training, and employment programs and service operated by the Toronto District School Board (TDSB). “Our programs are suitable for a variety of audiences, including Adults, Youth, Newcomers, Women, Persons with Disabilities and Fracophones.” said Cristina Graida, Project Administrator of the TDSB, told the Camera on Tuesday.
According to Graida, “our services include employment assessment and career planning, skills development, apprenticeship training, language instruction to newcomers, enhanced and specialized language training, literacy and basic skills, and child-minding services.”
The facilities offer various workshops to help build successful job search tips and strategies, computer and interview skills, networking, and labour market information, with personal employment assistance and counselling with a friendly, professional, and reliable staff to better the experience.
Next-Steps Employment Centres provides referrals with various other community, newcomer, training, self-employment, and youth services and programs.
